Windsor Lions Sponsered Ride – 6th & 7th September 2025

July 25, 2025 Katy 0

The Windsor Lions arrange this event https://www.windsorlions.co.uk/sponsored-horseride every year and every year they very generously donate the proceeds from it to us!

Not directly ‘us’ as in ‘your group’, but ‘us’ as in the South Region and every year, the proceeds go towards funding all of our South Region First Aid Training.  This year, we have the added bonus of extra funds being allocated to us to support our South Region Conference (21st April 2026 – save the date) next year.

They need volunteers to marshal the event, and it would be super helpful if you could offer your time to go along and support them.  It’s a wonderful event and your help would be greatly appreciated

It is on the 6th and 7th of September at Windsor Great Park and either day or both days are available for us to help.

If you can manage to spare some time for the event, then please email Diane at [email protected]

June 27, 2025 Katy 0

AMAZING news for the South Region! We have THREE winners in the National 2025 RDA Awards! We are so unbelievably proud of them all, a MASSIVE well done!

Katy Lake – Wyfold RDA

Young Coach of the Year Award

“I am beyond honoured to be awarded a young coach of the year 2025 award! RDA has become a huge part of my life over the last few years and even whilst I’m away at university getting my degree I am look forward to coming home and teaching. I feel my riders successes as if they are my own and it is a pleasure to find ways to make them smile and help them achieve their goals!”

Alice Summersbee – AIM RDA

Coach Mentor of the Year

“I’ve been passionate about RDA and RDA coaching for 9 years now: I know how important good mentorship can be and what a difference it can make to having a positive coaching environment. Developing your skills and feeling confident in your abilities as a coach isn’t always easy, but it’s much easier with the right support. Our RDA family needs good coaches to drive it into the future, so it means the world to me that RDA have recognised me as a mentor for other coaches.”

Lady – Shifford Carriage Driving Group RDA

Equine of the Year Award

“I was so proud and excited when telling my best friend and paddock companion, Pixie, about the award. Pixie is hoping to retrain as a driving pony and to become my RDA apprentice.”
